LOCATION: Full-time, Remote, United States - East Coast Hours

Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

Quzara seeks a skilled Azure Cloud SRE - Security Specialist II with a focus on Cloud and Application Security within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role involves conducting security evaluations, managing security risks, collaborating with architectural teams, and staying updated on emerging threats. Candidates should have a BS in Computer Science or related field, 7+ years in Information Assurance, and relevant certifications (AZ-500, MS-500 preferred). Skills in scripting, automation, and GRC tools are essential. We offer an inclusive work environment committed to innovation and teamwork.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Expertise in securing Azure environments, including experience with security hardening techniques and familiarity with Azure Security Center.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automating builds, tests, and deployments to streamline development workflows.
  • Agile methodology experience to adapt quickly to changing requirements and foster continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP compliance requirements, ensuring Azure services meet federal security standards.
  • Advanced automation and scripting capabilities using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates to manage Azure resources efficiently.
  • In-depth knowledge of a wide range of Azure services, including Azure Compute, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage solutions, to design and maintain scalable and reliable systems.

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job. 

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related.
  • 7+ years in Information Assurance, focusing on cloud/application security.
  • Certifications: AZ-500, MS-500, with Security +, CISSP, CCSK preferred.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
  • Strong communication skills; adept at collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with GRC tools; able to multitask in a dynamic setting.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous.
