Description

Are you passionate about database management and seeking a dynamic role where you can make an impact? Join a prestigious luxury hotel and casino team in Las Vegas as a SQL Database Administrator. This hybrid role allows for remote work one day a week, offering flexibility and a stimulating work environment.

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Compensation: \(55 - \)65 per hour, plus benefits

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the IT team to oversee physical database administration, including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, and backup.
  • Proactively monitor database performance and capacity, ensuring all environments are optimally managed.
  • Maintain robust backup and recovery processes, including disaster recovery performance and tuning.
  • Administer database security, roles, and profiles, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards.
  • Support critical data and content migration teams, ensuring smooth transitions and integrations.
  • Provide on-call support to ensure continuous, reliable operation of the database environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in database administration with a strong focus on SQL (5-6 years preferred).
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven ability to handle database performance tuning, capacity planning, and security management.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage backup and recovery processes and support data migration efforts effectively.
