Technical Lead - Application Development & Data Modeling Expert

Description

We are seeking a seasoned developer with expertise in designing and supporting complex applications to join our dynamic application development team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure our applications meet their requirements while providing guidance to our developers. Your involvement will span a range of tasks including enhancing, integrating, maintaining, and implementing projects, as well as preparing technology roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Support both new and ongoing development projects with data and process modeling activities.
• Create and manage entity, logical, and physical data models.
• Perform database design across multiple platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the application development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure application architecture aligns with business requirements.
• Design logical and physical database models in Oracle and SQL Server.
• Tune SQL queries and troubleshoot issues using SQL and PL/SQL scripts.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Develop prototypes and mockups for user review and approval.
• Create flowcharts, screen layouts, and documentation to ensure logical system requirements.
• Work on large agile projects.
• Fine-tune data models to achieve consistent performance.
• Manage metadata and utilize data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER Studio).
  
  

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing and reviewing logical and physical data models in SQL and/or PL/SQL.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with relational, dimensional, and/or analytic databases.
• 6+ years of experience in writing SQL packages/functions/triggers and performing mass data updates and deletes.
• 3+ years of experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience in data conversion between multiple systems and data transformation strategies.
