About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our DevOps team. In this role, you will work closely with the DevOps Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our databases across various environments. We value detail-oriented, independent, and self-motivated professionals with experience in AWS environments and services such as RDS, Redshift, and DynamoDB. If you are passionate about improving database performance, efficiency, and security, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage databases across all environments and regions to support development, QA, and production systems.
  • Continuously improve database performance, efficiency, and security.
  • Implement fault-tolerant, high-availability database architectures with cross-region replication and failover capabilities.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and development teams to optimize database queries and enforce best practices.
  • Evaluate, test, and deploy database changes to support new system deployments, features, and improvements.
  • Participate in a 24⁄7 on-call rotation to address escalated issues impacting production systems.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in RDS/MySQL database operation and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of database management best practices, including performance tuning, backup/restore, real-time replication, disaster recovery, and security.
  • A proactive and results-driven self-starter who always strives for excellence.
  • A confident team player who thrives in dynamic environments.
  • Strong engineering mindset - prioritize documentation and design before implementation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (inclusive of domestic partnerships).
  • Employer-paid life insurance, with additional options for employee/spouse/child coverage.
  • Voluntary short- and long-term disability insurance.
  • 401K plans (Roth and Traditional options).
  • Generous PTO that rewards your commitment and seniority, including paid leave for bereavement, jury duty, and more.
  • Competitive annual bonuses.

We are an equal-opportunity employer and participate in the U.S. Federal E-Verify program. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued.
