Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Product Designer to join our Product and Tech team. In this role, you will ensure our users have exceptional learning experiences with our app. Collaborating daily with product managers and engineers across multiple teams, you will work on high-visibility features addressing our most significant customer needs. Additionally, you will mentor other designers and help establish design practices at simpleclub.

How will you make an impact:

  • Lead the visual design and user experience of features from concept to launch, in collaboration with other product designers, product managers and engineers.
  • Own and enhance the user experience on the simpleclub app in partnership with fellow designers.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other design artifacts to communicate complex concepts, and explain the reasoning behind your designs.
  • Design and prototype with a focus on responsive and adaptive design principles, ensuring a seamless and accessible user experience across all devices.
  • Advocate for best UX practices and design principles to ensure top-tier user experiences.
  • Develop processes and systems to streamline design team operations.
  • Mentor product designers at simpleclub, provide constructive feedback and design critique, fostering their professional growth.
  • Assist the product team with user research, working alongside product management and freelance researchers to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional content design stakeholders to align design language and UX principles across content and product teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our design system and the overall product strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in EdTech software design.
  • Create detailed design briefs, plan and prioritize design tasks effectively

What we value:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer in product-focused companies, working closely with software development teams; experience in EdTech or B2B SaaS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design and prototyping tools.
  • Proven ability to design complex features with a strong focus on user experience and engineering feasibility
  • Demonstrated experience in creating processes and systems for efficient design operations.
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing your expertise in product design, user research, and problem-solving.
  • Experience in start-ups, scale-ups, or fast-growth environments is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in driving significant improvements to key business or product metrics, with the ability to make informed decisions based on business context, product data, and a deep understanding of user needs.
  • Prior experience with user research is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of German language is a plus.

💰Your salary: We 💙 transparency. We have different levels within our salary bands, and we use these levels to determine a fair salary for each range. Your salary is reviewed at least once a year.

The salary band for this role in Germany is: 63.800-86.300 EUR annually gross. If you live outside of Germany, we will adapt to your local market.

We are in the process of rolling out salary bands in job descriptions to ensure we treat all employees fairly. Once we get to know each other better and your skills & experience during the interview process, we will be able to evaluate where you would fit within the salary band.
