About The Role

Are you detail-oriented and proactive with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service? We are seeking a dedicated Mortgage Insurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer escrow and tax impound accounts with precision, ensuring compliance with state, regulatory, county, investor, and company guidelines. If you have experience in Escrow and Insurance, particularly with PMI, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • PMI Management: Process Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) cancellation requests with strict adherence to industry standards and company policies.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records and resolve any discrepancies in PMI payments.
  • Payment Accuracy: Input and verify critical payment information with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Mentoring: Monitor and mentor new PMI agents, providing constructive feedback and career training.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle escalated issues calmly and professionally, determining the appropriate resolution steps.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service over the phone, addressing questions and ensuring mortgage regulations are followed.
  • Multi-Tasking: Efficiently navigate multiple computer applications to update customer accounts and offer clear information.
  • Insurance Management: Process and research insurance exceptions, handle insurance disbursements, cancellations, and maintain good relationships with insurance vendors.
  • Administrative Duties: Order reports, monitor EDI bill files, reconcile accounts, and escalate any potential risks to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in mortgage servicing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of PMI regulations and mortgage industry standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle escalated issues professionally and calmly.
  • Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems and applications.
  • A team player with a customer-first attitude.
