Your missions

Description

We are seeking a Mid-level Transmission Planning Engineer with remote work options available. Candidates can indicate their preferred location in the application, but must work within the USA, preferably Texas.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead network studies for utilities and ISOs.
  • Interface with engineers to prepare computer-based models.
  • Conduct various power system studies, including feasibility, system impact, reactive compensation, stability, planning, short circuit, load flow, interconnection, and power factor correction.
  • Engage in proposal writing and customer interactions to develop new opportunities.

Required Education/Experience

  • BSEE degree.
  • 5+ years in transmission planning system studies.
  • Ability to lead system impact studies.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 3+ years with PSS/E.
  • Project leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with ERCOT interconnection processes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Desired Education/Experience

  • MSEE or PhD.
  • 5+ years with PSS/E.
  • 7-10 years in transmission planning studies.
  • PE registration or equivalent.

Experience With Additional Software

  • PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, Aspen Oneliner, ETAP, Power World.
  • Coding and automation skills.
