We are searching for a dynamic and experienced National Tax Practice Leader to spearhead our largest and most critical practice area. This role will oversee and strategically guide all aspects of our national tax practice, ensuring exceptional client service, fostering team collaboration, and driving growth and profitability.
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a forward-looking strategic vision for the National Tax Practice that aligns with the firm's overall goals and objectives
- Client Service Excellence: Oversee the delivery of high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to clients across various industries, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and capturing market share in the tax advisory space
- Talent Management: Attract, retain , and develop top talent within the practice, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth
- Technical Excellence: Stay abreast of the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure the practice maintains the highest level of technical proficiency
- Financial Management: Manage the budget and financial performance of the National Tax Practice, optimizing profitability and resource allocation
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while mitigating risks associated with tax practice operations
- Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in their tax planning and compliance needs
- Thought Leadership: Represent the firm in thought leadership activities, including speaking engagements, publications, and participation in industry associations
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other practice leaders and firm leadership to create a seamless client experience and identify cross-selling opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 15 years of experience in tax consulting and advisory services, including leadership roles
- 10 years of supervisory experience
- Professional certifications and memberships (e.g., CPA, CFA, AICPA) preferred
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and profitability within a tax practice
- Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8 years of experience in related field
- 6 years supervisory experience
- Ability to manage deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple assignments and prioritize accurately
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally (and externally as applicable)
- Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
- Must be able to travel based on department needs
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $500,000- $750,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
