Location: Remote (Located in TX, with extensive travel)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Manager to travel around in their assigned areas, visiting various crews on project and construction sites. This remote position involves significant travel, primarily within the southern and southwestern United States. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of civil construction safety practices, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector.  Experience with refinery and chemical plant safety is helpful. Preference will be given to candidates located in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel by truck and airplane to meet field crews at various locations, ensuring safe procedures are adhered to. 
  • Conduct safety observations on personnel and equipment at job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with established safety rules and regulations by employees.
  • Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Lead investigations and evaluations of injuries and incidents.
  • Travel extensively to oversee visit remote work locations.
  • Coordinate with other corporate services departments local project management teams.
  • Report weekly safety activities to the Assistant Safety Director and Director of Safety.
  • Complete necessary field documentation (e.g., JHA’s, investigations and audits).
  • Collaborate with the Director of Safety on policy reviews.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant safety experience.
  • CHST Preferred or equivalent
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to set your own schedules and complete
  • tasks relating to site safety visits.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work and perform duties from a pickup truck.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Compensation Range
$80,000$90,000 USD
