We are searching for a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position will lead the improvement of legacy tooling and fixture and advance them to a robust industrial environment. This is a specialized position, and our ideal applicant has considerable experience in tooling, and working cross-functionally on project-based deliverables.

Essential Functions:

  • Mapping out critical functions and mechanical elements of our current guitar fabrication process
  • Deeply understand the material transformation process of wood and translating it into technical requirements
  • Partner with the internal tooling team for internal sourcing of tool fabrication
  • Finding and partnering with vendors for accelerating design and manufacturing of new tools and workstations
  • Strongly partnering with the internal manufacturing and new product organizations for deploying, validating, and monitoring performance of new tools
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment, particularly as it relates to tooling engineering
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skill
  • Handles and stores all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both orally and written
  • Experience with precision measurement devices, multimeters, micrometers, calipers
  • Experience with use of hand tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related technical field is preferred. Experience in a production environment is highly desirable. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
