Summary:

eMerge ITS is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented VCFO to join their growing team. As the VCFO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our finance function, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and analysis. This role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment with the opportunity to make a significant impact on a fast-paced and dynamic company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using a cloud-based accounting platform like Xero.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual updates for the board and shareholders.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, develop forecasts, and create insightful reports for management.
• Manage budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Work closely with the CEO and other members of the leadership team to provide strategic financial advice and support business decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA designation a plus).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role.
• Proven experience using cloud-based accounting platforms like Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Previous experience at a managed IT services company is a plus. 
• Extremely proficient in Excel and highly proficient in Word & PowerPoint.
