Job description

This is a remote position.

Location: Remote

Working Hours: 6 hours per day, preferably between 10 AM - 6 PM (30 hours per week)

Equity: 2.5% on completion of one year

Salary: Contingent on securing funding

As part of our journey to build a highly scalable and agile MVP, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about technology and entrepreneurship.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on backend and DevOps functions. This role is critical to the development of our MVP for MamlaKaro, where you'll be working on cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build a robust, secure, and scalable product.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure using FastAPI, Azure, and CosmosDB.
DevOps & CI/CD: Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
Cybersecurity: Implement and maintain robust security practices to protect our platform and users.
AI & LLM Integration: Leverage GenAI and large language models (LLM) to enhance product features and user experience.
Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices architecture for scalability and flexibility.
Content Management Systems (CMS): Integrate and manage CMS to handle dynamic content.
Testing & Documentation: Develop comprehensive testing strategies and maintain high-quality documentation for all development activities.
Project Management: Lead project management efforts to ensure timely delivery and adherence to agile methodologies.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of interns, guiding them through the development process.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and product managers to ensure cohesive product development.

Requirements

Technical Requirements:

Experience: Preferably 2+ years of hands-on experience with FastAPI, Azure, CosmosDB, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven Track Record: We are open to young techies, including dropouts, with amazing proven track records. If you have built impressive projects in these technologies, we want to hear from you.
Cybersecurity: Strong understanding of cybersecurity practices and their implementation.
AI & LLM: Experience with GenAI and large language models is a plus.
CMS: Familiarity with content management systems and their integration.
Testing & Documentation: Strong skills in testing, documenting code, and technical processes.
