Software Engineering National Service Program 

Reason for this job: 

To learn and contribute to the development and optimization of frontend and backend related features, products and services that influence the functionality of internal sub-systems.  

Key Expectations: 

• In this job, you will execute the following activities: 

• Learn technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Core, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, Actors, Quartz, JavaScript, VueJs, ReactJs, Azure DevOps, Python etc. 

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend and frontend business logic through effective use of programming platform and toolchain. 

• Your success and performance as a Software Engineering National Service Person will be evaluated by your effectiveness at: 

• Timely delivery of assigned tasks. 

• Writing testable code that solves a given problem 

• Actively participating in team-related ceremonies including daily update meetings, product review meetings, regular domain-related meetings. 

• In this role, you will work with: 

• Backend and Frontend Software Engineers and Team Lead to discuss solutions, assign tasks and review assignments and/or work for readiness to deploy 

• Product Managers to understand feature/product requirements.  

• Quality Assurance Team to inspect and detect defects that hamper quality and experience of features/product 
   

• You will be supported with:

Must have 

• Knowledge of at least one of these languages .NET Core (C# as primary language), JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go 

• Knowledge of Visual Studio or Rider or Visual Studio Code 

• Knowledge of Databases and ORMs 

• Must have a personal laptop and strong internet connection. 

• Good communication and teamwork skills. 

• Good problem-solving skills. 

Good to have 

• B.Sc. Computer Engineering, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Information Technology or any related subject 

• Knowledge of CI/CD 

• Familiarity with software development best concepts and best practices including OOP, SOLID principles, Data Structures and Algorithms, Version Control, Agile methodologies...

• Ghana Card 

• Level 400 Transcripts or a bachelor’s degree certificate.
