About the role:

As Director of Data Portfolio, you will be responsible for data mapping worldwide and lead a team of 4 Data Portfolio managers. You will act as the main contact regarding data and sample needs within the company, assessing the feasibility of data requests. You will build a comprehensive view of existing and future datasets, with the Business Development and Data Science team to anticipate data needs. Closely collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders from Owkin academic network, you will lead scientific boards in various medical areas. Additionally, you will participate in the Partnerships Leadership team to propose and discuss strategic directions.

In particular, you will:
  • Lead data mapping and portfolio activities, by assessing the feasibility of any data requests
  • Act as data content manager within the company,
  • Closely collaborate with internal stakeholders (Business development, data science and data platform teams) to define future data needs and required tool specifications
  • Be responsible for having a 360-view of our data assets to ease access
  • Recruit medical advisors based on existing and future needs, and animate board of KOLs focusing on multimodal data & samples in oncology, I&I, CVD, neurology
  • Lead and grow a team of 4 full-time data portfolio managers
  • Ensure reporting of data portfolio team activities for project delivery
  • Conduct proactive scientific and technology watch to explore sources of multimodal datasets & ensure up-to-date data hunt methodology, reviewing new tools  

Position is based in our Paris or Nantes offices or remotely from France or UK.

About you

Required qualifications / experience:

  • BS/MSc in Business, Engineering, Medical or an associated field
  • At least 5 years of experience, and a past experience within a pharma company or a biotech
  • Animation of board of KOLs is a plus, as well as good knowledge of one indication among  oncology, CVD, Immunity & Inflammation, Neurology
  • Business oriented vision
  • Ability to prioritise and to juggle multiple work streams
  • You are highly resilient and adaptable, as well as a fast learner;
  • Team player, enjoy building collaborative relationships with colleagues and clients. You can engage effectively  with stakeholders from different backgrounds;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Previous experience as a manager
  • Experience in portfolio management, strategy, or related roles in health, pharma industry
  • Experience in leading external resources and budget
