Scope
  • Full-time role, 40 hours per week

  • Flexible 8 hours

This fast-growing company has multiple successful businesses, including a law firm, rental properties, real estate brokerage firm and title company. They are looking for a bookkeeper to help support their continued growth across these business units. You'll work with cutting edge systems and have the opportunity to impact the success of a dynamic organization directly. As Bookkeeper, you will maintain the financial records for this growing organization by recording transactions, reconciling accounts, generating financial statements and supporting month-end close processes. This is a great opportunity to play a key finance role in a thriving small business


Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Doorloop program efficiently to update and maintain accounting records.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Manage communication and follow-up with tenants regarding rental payments, inquiries, and concerns.
  • Review lease agreements to ensure compliance and accuracy of terms.
  • Implement strategies to analyze market trends and increase rental income where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with property management team to address financial issues and optimize revenue streams.
  • Generate financial reports and analyses as required by management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide support during financial audits and inspections.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with a minimum of 2+ years experience.
  • Familiarity in using Doorloop program HIGHLY PREFERRED or other Accounting Software
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with tenants and colleagues.
  • Ability to review and interpret lease agreements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
