Job Description Summary
The Lead Digital Technologies (DT) Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for executing the sourcing strategy for the DT commodities including Software, and IT Prof Services for the GE Aerospace HQ division in charge of HR Technologies, Finance applications and other functions (legal, facilities, etc). This individual is tasked with negotiating with software and IT Services providers adhering to GE Aerospace’s policies and procedures achieving the best contractual and commercial terms while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. It is required for the individual to have knowledge of best practices and how own areas of support are integrated with others.

This individual will be part of a best in class organization and would engage in a variety of core activities designed to optimize the procurement function, align it with the organization's strategic goals, and ensure it contributes as a trusted advisor to the supported organizations and aligned to the business outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing:

·  Implement sourcing strategies for IT commodities that align with the organization's business outcomes while achieving cost out initiatives.

·  Conduct supplier evaluation processes including RFI/RFPs and single source negotiations for the optimal selection of strategic partners in a matrixed environment.

 

Contract Negotiation and Management:

·   Negotiate agreements for professional services, cloud products and software applications with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and conditions for the organization. This involves a deep understanding of contract terms, risk management, compliance requirements and the ability to negotiate terms that ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

·  Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts for the contract execution.

 

Stakeholder Management:

·  Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at a senior level and DT Teams to strategically support stakeholders on objectives and business needs.

·  Set realistic expectations on timelines required for project execution.

·  Collaborate with internal leaders to develop procurement requirements.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):

·  Partner with Stakeholders and the Vendor Management organization in performance reviews, collaboration on innovation, and working together to develop and implement KPIs, SLAS and performance metrics with key strategic suppliers.  

 

Risk Management:

·  Support risk mitigation efforts associated with technology procurement including but not limited to cybersecurity threats, DP requirements, third party risks and Aerospace and Defense compliance contractual risks.

·   Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, as well as the organization's ethical standards by partnering with the proper legal, financial, controller and regulatory authorities in the organization. This includes promoting sustainability and responsible sourcing practices.

 

Lean procurement and continuous improvement

·  Execute against SOPS and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the procurement function.

·  Adhere to lean management practices in sourcing activities through execution of action plans other designated lean tools. This also includes adherence to metrics related to cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and internal customer satisfaction.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of DT / IT specific experience or IT vendor management
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • The base pay range for this position is $110,700-184,000 USD . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 8/29/2024.
