The Organ Placement Supervisor is responsible for shift and employee management. This includes managing the workflow on shifts, responding to employee and client issues, performing quality monitoring /corrections in appropriate electronic systems (ie.e: client EMR and Statline organ placement software), as well as handling offer volume in all Transplant centers as needed. This position is also responsible for facilitating employee and team development through coaching, career-path planning, incentive and recognition planning.
This position is responsible for training any new transplant center processes and/or employees working in new transplant center processes. In addition the supervisor is responsible for the delivery and management of all service quality initiatives including individual, shift, and department level targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in new hire process (i.e. interview and train)
  • Manage and direct employees regarding quality, performance and process adherence
  • Provide ongoing direction and support to staff regarding individual growth and performance as well as project and time management
  • Coach and develop current employees
  • Initiate conflict resolution processes as needed for employees
  • Evaluate and manage SMART goal process for direct reports
  • Provide ongoing performance appraisals including annual reviews
  • Document employee feedback in employee records including achievements, counseling, and disciplinary actions as appropriate
  • Participate in new employee orientation as needed
  • Assist with creating and deploying training materials as needed for process, new skills, and client updates
  • Assist with training all new client processes or changes within the existing client processes
  • Maintain complete training records for direct reports and assists in internal audits related to those files
  • Assist with career path development for Triage Coordinators
  • Maintain proficiency in all Tx Center skill sets including precepting and worktlow management
  • Assure highest level service delivery
  • Communicate shift change information to oncoming Shift Supervisor
  • Provide process related support including coordinating as needed to manage volume and service levels
  • Responsible for solving scheduling issues and communicating resource needs to management.
  • Be proficient in all emergency procedures and be able to facilitate appropriate steps to maintain service during any outages
  • Be proficient in all electronic process management tools, including but not limited to: DonorNet, TX Qr EMR systems (EPIC, etc.) and electronic activity boards within specific processes
  • Schedule and lead huddle meetings
  • Attend other meetings as determined by Director or Operations
  • Manage, direct and perform quality monitoring on employees as needed
  • Respond to client complaints and resolve appropriately, provide communication to appropriate parties as needed (ie: CSM, Director of Operations, etc.)
  • Assist in implementing and correcting client process deviations
  • Communicate department needs and suggest solutions to problems
  • Facilitate appropriate payroll activities related to employees
  • Assists on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Two to four years supervisor/leadership experience required preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. Experience in a health care or medical setting a plus.
  • Medical background or training (EMT, Paramedics - 3+ years of experience, LPN, RN, EMS dispatcher, Organ Placement Coordinator and/or equivalent work experience)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team required Demonstrated ability to facilitate conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and problem solve required
  • Ability to work in a flexible environment and adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to meet organizational goals as required
  • Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records systems (DonorNet, EPIC, etc.) Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software, including MS Office suite Ability to assemble and present appropriative donor/recipient medical chart/condition Understanding of HLA process and cross matching results
  • Understanding of organ functionality
  • Statline is a 24/7 /365 communication center. Therefore, this position will require night, weekend and holiday work on occasion.
  • On-Call/ AOC coverage on rotating schedule
