Requirements and responsibilities

As a key member of the application development team, this individual will be responsible for leading the technical development and support for internal web applications supporting our Rating business.

What you’ll do

• Designing and developing scalable user-facing features using modern front-end technologies like Angular, React JS, JavaScript
• Ensuring responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Optimizing application front end for performance
• Integrate back-end services with the UI layer
• Designing and developing RestFul APIs and microservices that support front-end functionalities
• Creating server-side logic using languages such as Java.
• Managing databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and writing efficient queries.
• Implementing security and data protection measures
• Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps
• Work closely with other stake holders and participate in Sprint ceremonies to ensure the alignment with Agile methodologies

What you’ll bring

• 9+ years in Java J2EE building web applications.
• 5+ years of experience with related frameworks and technologies (Hibernate, Restful services Spring JDBC, MVC, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in UI development using React, JQuery, Javascript, HTML5 & CSS.
• Significant knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
• Experience with Oracle Web logic and Tomcat to include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with API management and Cloud-based platforms and services (AWS, Google).
• Working knowledge of Dev-Ops: Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
• Understanding of Test Driven Development practices as well as Automation and Unit Testing. 
• Strong Analytical Skills. 
• Experience Architecting and developing large-scale Enterprise applications.
• Experienced in agile development methodology.
• Any experience in building applications for the financial industry is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Candidates without a Computer Science or Information Technology degree should have significant work experience.
