Scopely is looking for a Data Scientist, Product to join the WWE Champions team working remotely in the US, Canada, or Mexico.

What You Will Do
You’ll join the Product Performance team on WWE Champions which works to understand player behavior, assess the performance of our existing features and events, and provides data products for the broader product team to optimize the player experience.
- Analyze player behavior to better understand spending, game progression, social behavior, player preferences, merchandising, and feature impacts on KPIs
- Prototype and build data products which help our game team understand our players better and allow for exploratory analysis
- Assist with tracking specs, data model design, and ETL for warehousing and reporting
- Answer performance-related questions & generate reports/dashboards through exploratory data analyses and ad-hoc reporting
- Design and implement AB tests, forecasting models, clustering models, and other statistical models which help us understand player behavior and trends.
- Partner with our central machine learning and data science teams to assist with algorithm prototypes and optimization as well as ideation of new ML products
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience working as a in data analytics or data science, preferably in a B2C environment
- Experience in free-to-play gaming
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to: Analyze situations and determine the best metrics for a situation, conceptualize player behavior based on data, identify strategies for understanding behavior when data doesn’t exist
- Experience using SQL, including complex queries from multiple data sources
- Experience with Python (or R for the right candidate)
- Experience prototyping statistical models for analysis or productionalization
- Experience creating and analyzing A/B tests
- Experience with ETL tools and building analytics data models
- Experience working standardized tools in a cloud data environment like GCS, AWS, or Azure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to understand and act on changing priorities and execute multiple competing projects based on business priorities and expected impact
- Familiarity with data visualization (eg. matplotlib, plotly, or seaborn) and BI presentation tools (Looker or equivalent)
- A positive attitude and open-minded approach. Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and empathy for the players and your teammates

- A passion for playing midcore mobile games is a huge plus.
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $145,000 - $220,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
