Virtual and in-person interviews will be conducted for a variety of medical, security, facilities, IT, and administrative positions:

Desktop Support Technician:

The Desktop Support Technician provides technical user advice and support to academic and administrative staff for problems and questions related to network communications. The incumbent also monitors systems and advises senior staff of network application status.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of relevant experience.

Systems Analyst:

The Systems Analyst analyzes and resolves computer problems, tests and implements cost-effective solutions, and provides support for the efficient daily operation of data processing systems.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience.

Medical Assistants:

The Medical Assistant-PRN performs a variety of routine duties in a hospital or clinic to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Certified Medical Assistant Certification is required.

Communications Manager:

The Manager, Communications manages the development and execution of the department’s communications strategy in furtherance of the organization’s mission and goals. Moreover, the Manager, Communications collaborates with other departments to ensure a unified message.

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Call Center / Patient Access Representative:

The Patient Access Representative registers patients to clinic-based services, obtains pertinent information, and collects payments.

Requirements: High school diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience

Clinical Business Operations Representative:

The Clinical Business Operations Representative facilitates the prompt resolution of problems related to pre and post-care that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent in this position performs general administrative and receptionist functions, including answering incoming calls, efficient management of patients, and the acquisition of necessary patient care and records. This role will also assist patients in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental service standards.

Requirements: High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience

Customer Service / Patient Scheduler:

The Patient Scheduler delivers quality customer service by communicating with patients over the phone to provide the necessary information and is responsible for requesting information related to coordination and scheduling of diagnostic therapy and other procedures/treatments for UHealth. The incumbent interacts directly with referring physicians, radiologists, and technologists, as well as patients, to guarantee smooth coordination of procedures and exams.

Requirements: High school diploma with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Registered Nurse:

Seeking Registered Nurse 1 and Registered Nurse 2. Also seeking RNs in specialty areas such as infusion/chemotherapy The Registered Nurse 1 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse 2 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse 2 oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

Requirements: Registered Nurse 1 – Bachelor of Science in Nursing and possess an RN license and BLS certification. Registered Nurse 2 - Bachelor of Science in Nursing with at least 2 years of nursing experience. Must possess an RN license and BLS certification.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. More specifically, the incumbent assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, and eating, and collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs. Additionally, this employee aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures and documents patient interactions.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Certification in specialty or field.

Paramedics:

The Paramedic Instructor instructs and trains medical personnel within areas of expertise in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. Additionally, the incumbent monitors the effectiveness of courses offered and utilizes advanced skills and knowledge to enhance student learning and participation.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Certification in specialty or field.

Surgical Technicians:

The Surgical Technician assists the surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying a sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses. The incumbent also assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating room areas.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Certification in specialty or field.

Security Officers:

The Security Officer patrols assigned property and grounds to ensure the safety of building occupants and safeguard institutional property. Additionally, the Security Officer provides assistance to individuals that are on university grounds in the event of an emergency.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of experience.

Maintenance Mechanics:

The Maintenance Mechanic construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery, and components to maintain the physical assets of the institution in good working order.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Facilities Plant Operator:

The Facilities Plant Operator (FPO) is responsible for the appearance, safety, and functionality of the Central Energy Plant (CEP) and manages a broad range of operations to function efficiently and safely. The FPO manages the day-to-day operations and provides future planning for facility operations in a safe and efficient manner.  Additionally, the FPO manages major projects relating to the CEP and provides technical knowledge and leadership for facility operations. The FPO is responsible for supervising employees as well as serving as the primary contact for designated vendors.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of industry experience in one of the maintenance/construction trades. Must possess a valid Journeyman’s Electrician’s license. Possess at least 3 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment in a large energy/mechanical plant environment. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license as issued by the state prior to appointment.

Customer Service / Patient Screener:

The Patient Screener welcomes visitors (i.e. vendors, customers, patients, staff, students, etc.) to the department by greeting them and ensuring they abide by all visitor policies. This job conducts the initial screening of visitors, using the appropriate protocol, and distributes any needed personal protective equipment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience. Ability and willingness to work outdoors throughout the shift.

Research Assistant:

The Research Assistant contributes with research investigators by providing research and experimentation support while following established protocols. Further, the Research Assistant performs a clerical role to ensure the smooth operations of office facilities.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Patient Access Representative with locations in Miami-Dade / Broward / Naples:

Here are the minimum requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related setting.

This one is different from the Call Center / Patient Access Representative already listed in that it will be on-site, not call center, and locations outside of Miami-Dade.

Food Service:

The Food Service Worker aids in food tray preparation for all hospital patients and ensures excellent customer service.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
