The Senior Director, Medical Affairs Operations, Oncology is responsible for leading Medical Affairs operations which includes three areas: Analytics (impact and KPI), MA Training, digital capability integration. This role is a key leadership role responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives, managing operations, and ensuring efficient communication and coordination across the department.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and implementing of strategic plans and initiatives across Medical Affairs Oncology.
• Provide high-level support in decision-making processes.
• Coordinate and monitor the progress of strategic projects and initiatives.
• Prepare and review documents, reports, and presentations for key priorities and initiatives.
• Facilitate effective communication within the Medical Affairs team.
• Oversee the development and implementation of robust analytics to measure the impact and key performance indicators (KPIs) of Medical Affairs activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
• Present analytical insights and performance metrics to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design and execution of comprehensive training programs for the Medical Affairs team to enhance knowledge, skills, and competencies.
• Ensure that training programs are aligned with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and make necessary adjustments to meet evolving needs.
• Drive the integration of digital capabilities within the Medical Affairs function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify and implement digital tools and technologies that support Medical Affairs activities and objectives.
• Stay abreast of emerging digital trends and innovations in the healthcare industry to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals within the Medical Affairs Operations function.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture by providing mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities.
• Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and provide regular feedback to team members.


Required Qualifications:

Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs or a related function within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.

Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.

Strong analytical skills with experience in impact assessment and KPI development.

Expertise in designing and delivering effective training programs.

Demonstrated ability to integrate digital capabilities into business processes.

Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and operational oversight.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $226,048 to $305,165. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
