What’s AniLive?

We develop and operate AniLive, a mobile streaming app specifically designed for virtual streamers and their fans in English-speaking countries.

On this platform, streamers can become "AniLivers" with their own avatars, allowing them to start streaming from "anytime, anywhere" and earn income. As viewers, the vertical streaming experience on AniLive enables them to enjoy communication with their favorite AniLivers from a close distance, experiencing a new level of engagement including various gift animations.

With the release of AniLive, our company aims to revolutionize the virtual streaming industry and bring more fun to the global anime/VTuber community!

Position Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic VPoE who loves our product and is into anime and VTubers. Right now, our CTO leads development, but we want someone new to take over. The perfect fit is someone with experience in consumer product development who's keen on boosting team productivity and management. We're global from the start and always exploring new tech. If you're passionate about tackling challenges in a cutting-edge, anime-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What you will do

Manage multiple development teams
- Each team consists of several engineers
Engage in management activities for expanding the development organization
- Including one-on-ones, resource management, and improving evaluation and feedback systems
Work to maximize the potential of development team members
Set and manage goals for the growth of development team members
Design teams aligned with AniLive's product vision and future plans

What you must have

More than 7 years of experience in application development
Experience with agile development methods (such as Scrum)
Experience leading development in teams of 8 or more engineers in English
Business-level proficiency in English
Passionate about anime, manga, VTubers, or related content

Bonus Points

Practical experience as CTO, VPoE, Engineering Manager, or Product Manager
Practical experience in developing consumer-oriented products
Experience in mentoring and developing engineers
Track record of improving development team performance
Work experience in startups or rapidly growing organizations
Experience working in remote environments
