Your missions

Challenges You Will Solve

At Red Canary we are on a mission to improve information security—not just for our customers, but for the entire security community. We do this every day by empowering security teams to quickly identify and shut down attacks that have bypassed traditional security technology. Through our unique combination of MDR software and 24x7 expert threat investigation services, Red Canary is an extension of our customer’s security team, we are their security ally.

We're looking for a Principal Strategic Alliances Director to drive rapid growth with our strategic technology partnerships. This Strategic Alliances Director will report to the VP, Channel & Alliances.  The successful candidate will be a sales-focused, results-driven ecosystem development executive and security stack expert who understands traditional SaaS GTM and sales strategy, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wakes up every day excited to implement, measure, and optimize their strategy to identify and nurture sales growth.

What You'll Do
  • Responsibility for go-to-market (GTM) strategy and business development with focus technology partnerships.
  • Collaborating closely with Product, Revenue and Marketing, rationalize and reinforce Alliance's GTM strategy with focus technology partners.
  • Develop strategy, plans, and oversee execution of GTM models, including co-build, co-market and co-sell initiatives, that support pipeline generation and new revenue
  • Define, track, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) relative to technology partners to identify strengths, weaknesses, and trends in the data that enable Red Canary to meet business objectives.
  • In collaboration with PartnerOps, establish targets, track, and report on Alliances-sourced Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAO) and results relative to pipeline and revenue.
  • Direct the technical relationship across technology partners supporting Red Canary's MDR platform by facilitating account team technical support, escalations with partners, and roadmap alignment across internal and external parties.
  • Establish yourself as a Red Canary and technology partner subject matter expert (SME) to serve as a primary contact with assigned partners and internally across Red Canary teams.
  • Guide the team to understand and communicate upcoming technology partner changes and the corresponding impact to Red Canary.
  • Research and identify meaningful partner features not currently utilized in our MDR product.
  • Collaborate with product managers to identify what customer problems we could solve through deeper technology partner integrations.

  • What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years verifiable experience in the computer security industry with 3+ years of proven expertise in developing strong technology relationships with partners.
  • Strategic problem solver with a hunter mentality who takes initiative and is capable of hands-on problem solving as well as the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
  • Executive presence able to establish relationships with technology partners' senior-level stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator, negotiator, and presenter, who possesses strong negotiation skills as well as sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels to both internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent communicator with a proven track record of clearly conveying complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences, including customers, partners, sales, and analysts.
  • Talent for understanding technical concepts, mapping technology portfolios to determine alignment and translate the concepts to cater to a specific audience.
  • A motivated and focused self-starter mentality with strong leadership skills who is able to multitask, work independently or within a team.
  • Experience building or leading distributed teams.
  • Experience planning and actioning multiple, complex programs including development and presentation of due diligence packages.
  • Demonstrated ability as a product or technology advocate, with a passion for collaborating with engineering, product, sales and marketing teams.
