We are seeking an Intern or Co-op for a semester or more in the Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2025 at our Hebron, KY / Cincinnati, OH office location. This is a full-time hybrid position: You will work in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and from home on Mondays and Fridays.

Job Title: Architectural Cost Estimator, Intern 

Position Responsibilities:
  • Input data into cost or schedule templates. Manipulate estimate, schedule, or report templates as directed to make them relevant for each individual job.
  • Participate in first-pass QC, checking deliverables for errors.
  • Call, or documents call with, suppliers or subcontractors for information relating to market trends or pricing.
  • Develop and input quantities on horizontal and/or vertical work, inserting into estimating template.
  • Participate in relevant client calls or meetings with other Connico staff, in order to learn Connico’s relationship-building process.
  • Perform onsite construction observation, including document management, quantity tracking, and observation of construction activities (as necessary).
  • Participate in project-level calls to learn about industry practices and Connico procedures.

Position Qualifications:
  • Experience interpreting civil, architectural and/or structural drawings.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
  • Pursuing 4-year degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, A/E, or similar field; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical writing, report-preparation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in basic office software including Adobe, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Earthworks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar software preferred but not required.
  • Experience with On-Screen Take-off or equivalent takeoff software preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Project Management Software, such as Appia, Procure, eBuilder, or equivalent, preferred but not required.

Connico offers its Interns a competitive hourly rate starting at $22 / hour. If you have relevant experience from other internships, co-ops, or full-time work, you may earn up to $28 / hr.

This is a hybrid position: You will work in the Hebron, KY office (near CVG) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work from home on Mondays and Fridays.

Full-time internships / Co-ops available Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025.
