Position Summary: 

This position will provide architecture level support, engineering, and automation development activities to integrate, migrate, and maintain existing data pipelines, ETL to azure cloud infrastructure and Fabric. The Azure Cloud Development Engineer lead will also provide mentorship and training of existing staff. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with Microsoft cloud technologies, both from the Applications and infrastructure perspective. The candidate must be a self-starter, quick learner of new technology (virtual infrastructure, containers, databases etc.), and be highly motivated.

This role is a REMOTE position for someone already living in the United States who is able to work on EST business hours

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-12+ years of overall IT experience in software engineering/development.
  • 5-10 years’ experience with Cloud Development experience with at least 3 years of experience specifically in Azure Cloud Development.
  • 5-10 years’ experience with DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud computing architecture support.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing data cloud platforms that have significantly benefited an organization.
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud Development, Engineering within Azure (Datalake, Azure Data Factory, ADLS)
  • Proficiency in data tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Pyspark, Notebooks, DevOps(CI/CD, PowerBI).
  • Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and data governance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong emotional intelligence with the ability to articulate complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership and good coaching abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes within the Microsoft Fabric.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Develop and implement capabilities to reduce time to delivery of platforms through orchestration and automation.
  • Work in tandem with our solutions architects and systems engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for PRA
  • Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they cascade into problems.
  • Using your extensive knowledge of APIs to design services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using Files, JSON or other formats as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.

Salary Range:

$98,000.00 - $152,000.00

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, specific working location and market position. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and PRA Group reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications and location of the selected candidate.  In addition to base salary, PRA may offer additional benefits to include performance based bonus programs and/or equity programs depending on the position.  PRA offers paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401k match, life insurance, and other benefits to assist with the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees.
