What You Will Be Doing

Specialize in GIS and OSS Applications: As a Solutions Engineer in the technical pre-sales team, your primary focus will be to support the sales of our fiber infrastructure planning and management tools (ESRI GIS based). You will also leverage other Operational Support Systems (OSS) solutions from our portfolio to provide comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.

Craft Presentations and Demos: Develop and deliver compelling presentations and product demos tailored to customer needs, showcasing our advanced fiber planning and other OSS solutions.

Build Customer Relationships: Establish and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with customers, becoming their go-to technical advisor for Enghouse OSS solutions.

Collaborate with Sales: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical guidance and support during customer engagements, ensuring our OSS solutions align with client objectives and help close deals.

Lead Technical Discussions: Conduct in-depth technical discussions, address customer inquiries, and prepare detailed responses to RFx/tender documents, emphasizing the benefits of integrating GIS with OSS for network management and service assurance.

Develop Technical Proposals: Create customized technical proposals that align with the specific needs of Tier 1 to Tier 5 telecommunications environments, with a strong emphasis on GIS capabilities and OSS applications.

Liaison with Customers: Act as the primary liaison between our team and customers, advocating for their needs in both GIS and OSS product development, ensuring our offerings meet their expectations and requirements.

Inform Sales Team: Keep the sales team updated on the latest advancements and enhancements in our OSS portfolio, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed in the field.

Post-Sale Leadership: Provide leadership during the post-sale handover process, ensuring a seamless transition to the professional services team with a focus on the successful implementation of both GIS and OSS solutions.

Contribute to Value Propositions: Assist in the creation and maintenance of compelling product value propositions and internal knowledge resources, particularly those related to GIS and OSS technology.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, with a focus on telecommunications, geographic information systems (GIS), or operational support systems (OSS) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in telecommunications, including network planning and management, with significant focus on ESRI GIS platform applications.
  • Proficiency (1-3 years) in ESRI GIS and OSS solutions, such as network management, spatial analysis, and service assurance.
  • Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in presales, technical sales, or sales engineering, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
  • Willingness to travel (35%+) within the EMEA and APAC regions, with a flexible hybrid work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with exceptional organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, leveraging product documentation and demo tools for continuous learning and self-improvement.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with network inventory and resource management, particularly in optical networks.
  • Familiarity with Session Border Controllers, Media Gateways, and Mobile Messaging architectures.
  • Bilingual proficiency, especially in French or Spanish, would be advantageous.
