Job Description

This program is designed to help you start and grow your career in Finance at Allstate. Here we work across multiple areas to provide critical analytics and consultative support to drive optimal business performance. Your 12-week internship will expose you to projects that have an impact throughout the organization. Through hands-on work, you will gain valuable experience and insight into multiple areas of One Finance.

  • Formal learning – You will receive robust training throughout your summer internship  

  • Social Learning – You will have an opportunity to collaborate with other interns across the enterprise, leveraging video conferencing, MS Teams, daily engagement activities, Roundtables, networking sessions & much more!

Our internship program is designed to prepare you for future finance careers at Allstate. Interns graduating with their bachelor’s and who are high performers during their internship will have the opportunity to apply to Allstate’s Finance Development Program and/or Full-Time opportunities within 360°Finance:

Allstate's Finance Development Program is designed to help you start and grow your career as a versatile leader by providing cross-functional experience through two rotations within the One Finance organization at Allstate.  

Each rotation lasts one full year with role options across 360°Finance, Accounting, Corporate Strategy, D3 – Data, Discovery & Decision Science, Enterprise Risk & Return Management, Internal Audit, Investments Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury & Planning. Employment is not guaranteed at the completion of the two years; however, participants are supported through the process of landing a full-time position after graduation from the program. 

In 360°Finance, the largest finance department within Allstate, we work across multiple areas to provide critical analytics and consultative support to drive optimal business performance. 360°Finance has processes in place to provide rotational opportunities designed to enable growth and development in skills such as financial modeling, planning & forecasting, scenario analysis, business consulting and influencing. These skills are developed through movement between teams and provide opportunities to learn different aspects on the business such as Claims, Distribution, Expenses, Product, Service Operations, or Reporting & Dashboarding. 

Job Qualifications
  • Pursing Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related area of study   

  • Must be a current Sophomore or Junior, with one semester remaining following the internship program

  • Start Date: May/June 2025

  • Involved in student Organizations or extracurricular activities 

  • General understanding of financial and accounting concepts 

  • Time management and organization skills 

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and ability to analyze, manipulate and interpret substantial amounts of data
