Job Description

The ideal candidate will occupy a key role within the Partner Marketing Team.

As an integral part of the Partner Marketing team, you will play an important role in supporting the membership growth, marketing operations and partner engagement of the Pro Rewards Partner program for customers across EMEA. 

We are looking for a problem solver who can conceptualize the whole picture and take the Partner program to the next level including constructing, coordinating, managing, segmenting, tracking, reporting email promotions and customer data for ROI analysis. We need someone who is extremely detail oriented and capable of owning a project from beginning to end with an ability to work effectively in a team-based or independent environment. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams including Channel Marketing, Business Marketing, Product Marketing, Market Communication, Sales, Legal and Finance as well as external teams (third party agencies) to ensure business objectives are aligned.

Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support customer outreach marketing programs to drive a positive customer experience and increase revenue across Western Digital´s product lines. (position solutions, solving customer challenges and enhancing customer efficiency)
  • Engage with Western Digital channel Partners through online communications aiming at building on existing business and nurture new relationships.
  • Expand our active partner base identifying new target segments and implementing campaigns and programs to recruit new members and activate partners.
  • Conduct competitive and market research, compile findings, and communicate in concise, clear manner. Propose marketing tactic recommendations based on findings.
  • Prepare and present in-depth quarterly analysis of all promotional activities from prior quarter by region highlighting cost, ROI and other trends.
  • Support regional Sales Directors/Managers in execution of go-to-market business plans.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing Communications and Legal to ensure messaging of creative and promotions are within branding and legal guidelines.
  • Conduct and enable sales with competitive market analysis.
  • Make recommendations on content and functionality enhancements, based on market research and Web metrics/analytics.
  • Liaison with external vendors and partners.
  • Design customer facing collateral supporting various local markets including email campaigns, customer presentations and brochures.
  • Manage and track projects, purchase orders and initiate work orders contributing to the general workflow and progress of the Marketing team.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests, data collection and reporting, and communicate data trends.
  • Project management – develop and maintain project timelines and key deliverables.
  • Support regional requests for marketing and program materials.
  • Supervision - Work to accomplish assignments and objectives without appreciable direction. 
  • Complexity - Works on complex issues requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of a wide variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Discretion & Decision Making - This job regularly and customarily exercises discretion and independent decision-making. Examples: Evaluates marketing and financial data, and constructs decision models, to develop recommendations for senior management.

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of marketing communications, channel marketing, partner marketing experience
  • This position may require travel to trade show or distribution partners, marketing agencies, customer trainings

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) English (fluent), plus another European language (Czech, German, Spanish, French, Italian)
  • Knowledge of hard disk drives or industry related experience highly desired
  • Experience with channel customers: Distributors, System Integrators, VAR
  • Experience in dealing with third party vendors
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required (verbal and written)
  • An expert on marketing communications with emphasis in partner marketing, channel marketing, sales support, promotions in related business
  • Excellent presentation skills, ability to create and articulate presentations a must
  • Capable of analyzing, defining and driving other cross functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task to meet company objectives
  • A strong sense of integrity and accountability, along with viewing change as an opportunity to grow
  • Self-direct and self-motivated individual
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English
  • Software: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
