Daily challenges

• Ensure integrity, availability and performance of DB2 database systems by providing technical support and maintenance.
• Monitor database performance and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
• Perform database recovery and backup tasks on daily and weekly basis.
• Maintain database security and disaster recovery procedures.
• Assist in capacity planning, space management and data maintenance activities for database system.
• Offer DBA DB2 support for DXC clients and participate in project requests.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of multiple databases.

eXperience and skills required

• Functional knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database, IBM Db2 and PostgreSQL
• Solid knowledge of database maintenance and performance tuning.
• Experience with migrations and security control, monitoring and alerting.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery techniques, replication and scaling.
• Good soft skills: communication; time – management; proactivity; prioritizing.
• English language – B2.
