Do you want to impact educators and institutions around the globe? At McGraw Hill, our Product Solution Developers create materials that will inspire learners at all levels.

How can you make an impact?

We are looking for a Product Solution Developer to support the U.S. School Group (K-12) on specific product and project requests and requirements for use in our AP, Honors, and Electives (APHE) Programs. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to help design and implement new courses and experiences.

This is a remote position for candidates who reside in the U.S. and will be filled as a 24-month employment contract (Project Status), with the opportunity of renewal.

What you will be doing:

  • Build courses as part of a dynamic, cross-functional product development team, working on a range of assets (print, digital, audio, video, eLearning, learning objects, etc.) in alignment with customer, market, and product requirements and specifications.
  • Working closely with vendors on print and digital solutions and supporting platform-specific requests.
  • Managing project intake and overseeing project execution using Smartsheet and other relevant project management software.
  • Researching detailed concepts, guidelines, and processes as relevant for international programs in accordance with and needs/requests.
  • Tracking and following approved workflows at all stages and communicating intermediate and final schedules.
  • Collaborating on cross-functional teams to ensure that market requirements, product requirements, project schedules, project budgets, and product objectives are met.
  • Conducting quality assurance testing of digital assets within a variety of authoring tools, digital platforms, and courseware management software.
  • Working closely with Production, Product, and other teams to ensure that customer and/or market requirements, project schedules, and goals are met.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • The ability to manage and deliver multiple projects to deadline and budget simultaneously, with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with print and/or digital production development.
  • Experience with content authoring systems, learning management systems, project management tracking software, and other learning development tools is welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional technology, instructional design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong verbal and writing and presentation proficiency. Candidates can visualize, describe, and model product solutions for a variety of customers, both internal and external.
  • Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with an attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborative, experienced team player with problem-solving skills who is dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Wide range of technical skills useful for the development and management of print and digital products. Expert-level proficiency in office productivity software (MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and some knowledge of multimedia tools, including Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with content management tools and Smartsheet is a plus. Knowledge of HTML/CSS is also beneficial.
