Red Ventures is looking for a Senior Editor who will be responsible for managing strategic projects and leading Broadband content coverage for our USAToday partnership. This position will leverage SEO best practices, with a strong focus on transactional content, and advanced editorial expertise to create new content and optimize existing content.
This role will also oversee a small team of editors and writers to hit monthly production goals while maintaining our high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled editor with strong SEO knowledge, as well as excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Help guide the end-to-end production of our consumer-facing transactional broadband content on USAToday.com
- Manage and coach internal editors and writers
- Stay up to date on the most current broadband/Internet news and offers in the marketplace
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing and SEO analysts to ideate on monthly content priorities
- Meet our high standards for editorial integrity, accuracy, and legal compliance on all content
- Schedule and lead collaboration meetings
- Provide regular updates on content production, performance, and key highlights
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of editing experience with consumer-driven, personal finance or product content
- 2+ years of direct management experience
- Meticulous, detail-oriented editor, capable of adapting tone and style to domain
- Experience creating or editing content based on SEO concepts and best practices
- Deep familiarity and experience with Google’s ever-evolving search landscape, including a working knowledge of SEO tools such as GSC and Ahrefs
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Comfortable delivering and receiving feedback with a willingness to coach and develop
- Highly accountable team member who is process-oriented and able to update stakeholders on content production progress
- Some experience measuring content performance with analytics tools
- Excellent research, writing and editing skills, with the ability to edit and rewrite quickly
- Ability to adapt and able to reprioritize and organize resources accordingly
- Ability to work, communicate and collaborate in a remote team setting
- Experience with editing/writing bylines at top publications with a strong interest in the Internet and home services space
