About the Team

The Marketing Team’s primary responsibilities are to communicate the value of the Subsplash platform to the world—managing all outward-facing communications, leading demand generation efforts, creating go-to-market product strategies, facilitating brand management/identity, and more. We create beautiful and effective email campaigns, social media strategies, website content, product identities, videos, and more. We identify prospects and nurture them into quality leads for our sales team. For existing clients, we help them understand and engage with our products and new features. We have fun moving projects from concept to reality, and discovering what works well to help Subsplash and our clients succeed.

About the Role

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing, and will play an important role in creating compelling product messaging that drives excitement and demand for the Subsplash Platform throughout product life cycles. You will collaborate with Product Management to make informed decisions around product/feature requirements backed by customer and market research to ensure successful marketing releases of high-quality digital engagement tools that exceed the expectations of our clients. You will play a key role in driving strong interest in our products to increase inbound demand, and generate qualified leads for the sales team. You excel at cross-departmental collaboration and communication. You have experience mapping out strategic initiatives to ensure the effective marketing of existing products and developing go-to-market plans for new products, features, and brands. You are passionate about understanding consumer behavior and meeting the needs of our clients/prospects, as well as our internal teams and stakeholders. You can compile and understand the most critical metrics to make data-informed decisions. You are skilled at building compelling, benefit oriented product narratives that tell the story of how Subsplash products add value—backed by critical metrics—and culminate in The Ultimate Engagement Platform™. You have the keen ability for understanding competitive landscapes and, as a result, can plan and execute effective go-to-market campaigns that establish a strong position for Subsplash products and brands. You have experience managing multiple business units and brands, numerous products, and complex features sets to create a seamless, cohesive, and compelling competitive narrative. 

 

Your Priorities

  • Draft and identify insights that inform go-to-market strategies by becoming an expert on our industry, clients, products, and competitors.
  • Create exciting, benefit oriented, and clever product narratives to create compelling copy for headlines, webpages, email campaigns, and more.
  • Work closely with each Product Manager to understand and enhance the product narrative and the channels in which that story is told.
  • Partner with Business Development, Product Management, and Support to gain a holistic understanding of the true client and product experience.
  • Enhance our market presence and drive business growth through innovative storytelling and benefit-oriented marketing.
  • Work closely with Marketing Team members to create messaging and campaigns that generate demand and drive revenue.
  • Possess a high degree of understanding for all Subsplash business units, brands, products, and features, as well as how they competitively fit into our industry and market. 
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally and be a bridge between the Sales, Marketing and Product teams, as well as key stakeholders from the executive team. 
  • Impact demand generation and inbound marketing, as well as client adoption and platform utilization. 
  • Work with Product Management, Business Development, and the Executive team to strategically assess and review the product roadmap and establish the greatest opportunity for success and added revenue, while creating internal alignment and prioritization. 
  • Work within our data warehouse to understand client/prospect segments and discover marketing opportunities to expand the Subsplash brand within our industry. 
  • Be an expert on client retention data and prospect/client purchasing/buying behaviors.
  • Attend all Product Team Sprint Reviews to gain alignment and be a marketing advocate for the Product Team and a product advocate for the Marketing Team.
  • Assist Business Development teams to understand product narratives and value propositions. Periodically you may represent our products to Subsplash clients at meetings and conferences.
  • Manage cross-departmental stakeholder and executive relationships to create alignment around product marketing efforts. 
  • Lead and influence the product marketing OKRs on a quarterly basis and ensure alignment and attainment is achieved.

  • Passionate about our products and how they can serve churches, ministries, and nonprofits.
  • Strong team collaboration and relational skills 
  • Expert with end-to-end go-to-market campaign development, execution, and measurement
  • Proven ability to display positive adaptability in a scaling organization  
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • In-depth understanding and experience with CRMs—Salesforce, Pardot, and Hubspot are a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with solid prior experience writing copy, headlines, taglines for product marketing campaigns. 
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus
  • Ability to work remotely and with remote team members
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and find innovative solutions
  • Strong in project management and implementing effective processes
  • Experience managing multiple business units, brands, and products
  • Proven ability to consolidate and manage brands and products through mergers and acquisitions
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision moving projects and initiatives forward, while also regularly creating and presenting new and innovative business solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is a plus

About the Team

We are a team of Product Managers and UX Designers who are responsible for maximizing the value delivered to our customers on the Subsplash platform. Our platform includes products like Media, Giving, Events, People, Apps, and Websites, which our customers use to create experiences for their end users. Our status as a content platform creates a unique set of challenges for our team, demanding that we keep both the client and end-user experience in mind in our designs, planning, and strategy. We focus on empathizing with our customers and their users to identify their problems and pain points and ensure that we deliver high-value, delightfully simple solutions. About the Role

As a Product Manager I at Subsplash, you are responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing as well as the CEO and leadership to bring experiences to life.

The Product Manager I also ensures that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. You are responsible for helping Subsplash evaluate opportunities and determine what gets built and delivered to delight customers and users. You are tasked with helping to ensure our revenue and customers satisfaction goals re met. You will know customers and users well, become an expert on the product. Because you play a central role in your organization — always gathering valuable intelligence from various stakeholders, customers, and your market — you are in a unique position to define the success of your product. Your role as the product’s strategist and evangelist will be central to your success and the success of your products.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of relevant product management experience in a SaaS environment. This means you have shipped quality software to a production environment, gauged usage / adoption, and adapted accordingly
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Obsessed with knowing what our users and customers are doing and how they’re doing it combined with the ability to interact directly with them to learn more about them and understand their pain points
  • Familiarity with the use of Agile-influenced frameworks/practices (e.g. Scrum) for building SaaS products
  • Bias for action. Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Strong collaborative leadership, problem-solving skills and time management, including ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business and technical issues into actionable work for a development team
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable drawing metric-based conclusions

Subsplash currently has operations in 24 states across the US! As much as we would love to have employees in as many states and countries as we have clients, we are currently limiting hiring to the states we already operate in. As a result of that, this role is only available as a 100% remote position if you reside in one of the following states: 

AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, MO, MI, NC, NM, OK, OH, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY.
