Job Summary:

The Mountain audit role is responsible for verifying the timely and accurate recognition of revenue, ensuring adherence to internal controls, and detecting/preventing fraud through the daily review of point of sale system reporting. The Centralized Audit team is based out of Broomfield, CO and is responsible for 37 resorts across Vail Resorts, Inc. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual and self-starter who can prioritize effectively, find opportunities, propose solutions, and see tasks through to completion.  

 

Job Specifications

  • Outlet:  Hybrid-Remote

  • Expected Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.49 / hour

  • Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full-Time, Year-Round

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure audit of revenue transactions is performed timely and accurately, perform analysis, and identify key risk areas for detailed auditing.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures.
  • Working with resort teams on any points of concern.
  • Provide thought generation for ideas to improve existing processes with the goal of efficiency and alignment across all resorts. This includes carrying ideas through to completion or implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the systems and processes related to all areas of responsibility.
  • Foster and develop an environment of teamwork, employee development, and accountability.
  • Educate business partners on standard compliance.
  • Demonstrate a positive demeanor towards management, staff, co-workers, and internal and external guests.
  • Develop, adhere to, and role model the company’s mission, vision, and values.
     

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year associate in accounting or finance, Preferred
  • Must pass a background check
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT)
  • Knowledge InfoGenesis, OnBase, RPOS and PeopleSoft (Preferred)
  • Previous accounting experience – Preferred

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $20.00 - $24.49. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
