Summary of Job Duties:
This position will assist both the Vice Chancellor and the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research in the coordination of building management, monitoring all construction and facility related projects, labs, office space, common areas and immediate grounds. They will work with different groups across campus, including but not limited to campus operations, biosafety, property services, IT, maintenance & repair (M&R), environmental services and vendors.

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction or Engineering; plus 1 year of experience. experience in building management setting OR
High School Diploma with 5 years experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction or Engineering; High School Diploma plus
5 years , Direct experience in facilities management, preferably in a research setting

The Building Manager will perform general tasks, including:
- Coordinate building management and communicate to space users as needed.
- Monitor all construction and facility related projects.
- Develop working knowledge of research operations – prioritize requests, communicate to applicable groups and resolve barriers.
- Coordinate delivery of equipment and furniture and all M&R services across spaces.
- Act as primary contact for all building and equipment alarms within related space, which may include night and weekends.
- Conduct regular inspections of applicable buildings and research areas. Facilitate repairs and maintenance as needed, complete repairs when option.
- Recommend preventative building repairs and refurbishments for discussion to leadership.
- Carry out minor building repairs and maintenance as requested and/or needed.
