What you’ll be doing...

The role requires expertise in a specific domain within the network and a willingness to learn about the domain and continuously build deeper expertise. This individual will focus on designing and developing solutions per the AI standards and Responsible AI guardrails established within Verizon.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Business Value from AI solutions in the Network.

  • Proposing solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges.

  • Data mining or extracting usable data from valuable data sources. 

  • Validating the data along with assessing data readiness for solutions.

  • Enhancing data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing machine learning models.

  • Participating and collaborating on design discussions and being decisive in design decisions.

  • Building Predictive and Prescriptive models for specific problems within the network domain that will require integration with the business process to drive value. 

  • Validation and testing of models to certify the model is fit for use. 

  • Guiding team members in improving their understanding of the network data, systems, and domain. 

  • Articulating the story behind the solution in every stage through executive presentations.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Expertise and proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL to engineer data and draw insights from large data sets using AI/ML techniques. 

  • Two or more years of experience with developing and deploying machine learning models to production. 

  • Experience in building scoring models, and anomaly detection solutions.

  • Five or more years of experience in the telecom network domain.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Broad understanding of Autonomous Networks

  • Leadership in a Global Team

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
