Sr. Analyst (Anaplan Model Builder & Finance Systems)

Join our team as a Senior Analyst – Anaplan Model Builder and Finance Systems and be the point person for building out the ever-expanding Anaplan ecosystem at Alteryx! You will have the opportunity to partner with multiple business functions in and outside of Finance to champion complex planning and forecasting solutions. You will define and implement Anaplan best practices for data integration, model development, and reporting. Additionally, this role is fully remote.

Responsibilities:

· Spearhead the development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative and collaborative planning models on the Anaplan platform, encompassing all facets and functions of the business

· Collaborate closely with FP&A and cross-functional teams to create a roadmap, identify requirements, and understand existing models (excel/Anaplan), efficiently translating them into enhanced Anaplan solutions

· Proactively identify automation opportunities, streamlining workflows, and optimizing processes through automation projects

· Provide financial modeling and analysis support to business leaders, contributing to strategic initiatives, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving efforts

· Assist in and represent FP&A in the development of data, working with data science and engineering teams

· Oversee data flows and development of integrations between our enterprise systems (Alteryx, Netsuite, Workday, Tableau, Snowflake, SFDC) to Anaplan to ensure data is timely and accurate

· Establish and document best practices in model building, while delivering coaching and training to end-users

· Elevate the skills of fellow model builders by staying informed about the latest Anaplan features, driving the team towards excellence

Technical Qualifications:

· Minimum 1-2 years of Anaplan experience or equivalent expertise in financial planning tools

· Experience with basic data engineering: ETL (Extract; Transform; Load); databases, data warehousing, or APIs; data quality management; exposure to languages like SQL or Python

· Proficient in Anaplan Datahub best practices and implementation principles

· Demonstrated experience with New UX and Anaplan dashboarding/reporting functionalities

· Skilled in Anaplan ALM best practices, adept at working across multiple workspaces/models

· Proven track record in constructing intricate Anaplan models and handling complex formulas

· Familiarity with Anaplan model performance best practices

· Familiarity with compliance and security considerations of Anaplan

· Knowledge of data governance principles and data management best practices

· Adapts swiftly to changing business priorities and requirements, maintaining a positive can-do attitude

· Self-starter who thrives with minimal direction in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace

· Enthusiastic about learning, particularly in the field of technology

Bonus:

· Solutions Architect or Master Anaplanner certified

· Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Snowflake or other SQL Databases

· Strong understanding of fundamental Finance/Accounting concepts such as financial consolidation and reporting

· Experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies, or using Agile ticketing systems such as Jira
