Principal Solutions Consultant 

Location:  Remote from Pacific or Mountain time zones 

Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a significant impact? PTC is seeking a talented Principal Solutions Consultant to join our vibrant sales team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and growing number of companies across various industries, including Consumer Products, Industrial Products, Aerospace & Defense, High Tech, and Medical Device. 

As a Principal Solutions Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of customer interactions, providing technical expertise for PTC’s PLM and CAD solutions to support qualified sales opportunities. You'll analyze customer needs and offer innovative software applications and approaches to address those needs. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving PTC's revenue growth by identifying and supporting new software, services, and education sales opportunities. 

What You'll Bring: 

  • A deep understanding of product development processes, manufacturing processes, and/or product service processes, along with the challenges faced by manufacturing companies. 

  • Comfort in engaging with potential and existing users of our products, their management, and company executives. 

  • The ability to perform all activities required to support a sales engagement, from initial meetings and demonstrations to technical closure. 

  • Support for the transition to our Customer Success Management team and implementation partners.

Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver technical presentations and tailored demonstrations in person and virtually 

  • Lead validation events of varying complexity 

  • Assist with customer value assessments and proposal development 

  • Assist with customer RFQ/RFP/RFI Responses 

  • Participate in Customer Satisfaction initiatives aimed at driving customer satisfaction, creating reference accounts, and documenting Return on Investments. 

  • Lead small custom projects and manage, organize, and prepare all of the necessary functions of that project. 

  • Build relationships with existing customers and be available for consultation. 

  • Support the internal PTC ecosystem with your expertise. 

Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent skills in both communication and presentation. 

  • Customer Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships. 

  • Self-Motivation: A self-starter who can work independently and learn quickly. 

  • Team Success: Proven success in a team-oriented environment. 

  • Time Management and Organization: Exceptional skills in managing time and staying organized. 

  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of product development, programming languages, manufacturing, and/or product service processes. 

  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, with variability from month to month. 

  • PTC Windchill and PTC Creo: Experience with these tools a plus!! 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years Technical Sales and/or industry experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar fields. 

  • High School Diploma
