Your missions

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Senior Analyst, Tax to join Phreesia’s Corporate Tax Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate income tax and will work closely with the Tax Manager on tax compliance, financial reporting and other tax projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Gather information from cross-functional teams to support Tax Manager with annual tax compliance and quarterly tax provision processes
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly estimated income tax payment processing, reviewing forms and ensuring payments are made timely
  • Manage income tax calendar 
  • Assist with the gathering data for tax studies and tax planning
  • Assist with accurate and timely preparation of income tax account reconciliations
  • Research incoming tax notices and assist with correspondences and follow ups with relevant tax authorities
  • Support state and local tax audits when necessary
  • Assist with the preparation of internal control documents as needed
  • Perform other tasks, duties and assist with special projects as needed

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
  • CPA (or CPA equivalent) is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of tax experience, preferably in US state and local tax compliance or provision
  • Solid experience in researching and addressing multi-state state and local tax matters
  • Working experience and knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to details
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adhere and meet internal and external deadlines
  • Capable to prioritize workload and perform in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
