Operations Engineer

We are looking for passionate Operations Engineers to be part of our MF Ops & Scheduling Team.  This position will have the opportunity to leverage technologies to manage, maintain, orchestrate, and troubleshoot our complex batch processes running on CA-7 Mainframe Scheduling Tool. We are looking for the Ops Engineer to be available during the USA evening time 4:30pm CST to 12:30am CST (4am to 12pm IST) to work on Batch Support, Batch Operations, Scheduling activities and Oncall support.

 Skills Required:

• Flexibility in Working hours

• Ability to Work independently within 6 months of hire,  make decisions based on input and training given

• Highly proficient in CA7, including restarts, scheduling, loading, requirement, triggers, etc. Need expert level proficiency in CA-7.

• Highly proficient in JCL, including return codes, step restarts, Procs

• Proficient in TSO, ROSCOE, REXX, RPF, SDSF

• Proficient in ISPW or any other Source Code Management Tool like Endevor or Changeman.

• Able to learn and become proficient in Internal Tools for job scheduling requests.

• Ability to analyze issues and determine resolution or determine if assistance is needed

• Ability to respond in a timely manner as many issues will be critically time related

• Ability to understand the use of symbolics and their substitution within JCL

• Able to monitor 20 Mainframe batch processing cycles, reacting to abends and anomalies, balancing job priorities, knowing when potential problems are starting before they are real problems,

• Follow rules about turn over of code and running of cycles

• Excellent English speaking skills. Ability to communicate clearly and in a timely manner.

• Experience in handling SLAs, monitoring critical paths and participating in major incidents.
