POSITION PURPOSE

Overview

The FP&A Manager is responsible for senior level consolidation and reporting of Global Manufacturing monthly financial processes for designated sites and platforms across the Zoetis manufacturing business. The FP&A Manager will partner with FP&A leaders, Finance platform leads, site controllers and the COE FP&A teams to provide support to the manufacturing business of Zoetis.  

The Finance Manager role will focus on the following areas:

  • FP&A for Month End: Provide leadership on the monthly GMS FP&A process ensuring integrity in the data, critiquing of financials and clear explanations of financial performance.
  • Quarterly Reporting: Prepare quarterly growth analysis for HQ, detailing and communicating clear YOY commentary
  • Manager: Provide clear and in-depth analysis on the month end financial processes to your manager so they are comprehensively informed on key drivers.
  • Budget/Forecast: Assist in additional budget/Forecast related reviews and analysis of manufacturing financial projections
  • Forecast Accuracy: Create and monitor clear forecast accuracy metrics to review accuracy of our financial submissions
  • Projects: Lead designated projects on improving month end processes, standardizing work across global FP&A and assist the introduction of and drive usage in Power BI
  • Inventory Analysis: Improve monthly inventory reporting providing clear understanding on YTD performance, current month on hand status updates and full year projections 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Manager will be primarily responsible for the completion of the activities which includes but is not limited to:

  • Consolidate, prepare and develop standard management reporting packages, ad hoc reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) each month end for the GMS business and finance management
  • Enhance inventory reporting to improve monthly outputs and understanding
  • Working with the GMS site and platforms to critique and understand key month end drivers
  • Identifying platform drivers that support decision making at month end and management reporting.
  • Lead and initiate projects supporting month end improvement areas, standardization of monthly requirements, introduction of Power BI and improvement of stakeholder reporting
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance Leads and other finance team members to ensure continuity of business knowledge and ability to continually improve our processes and procedures
  • Responsible for performing ad hoc analysis and special project support
  • Respond to requests from key stakeholders and Zoetis colleagues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Contribute to ongoing Zoetis efficiency opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Financial Accounting or Business Administration.

Experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in finance or accounting preferable with a multinational company.
  • Core understanding of manufacturing finance principles and a manufacturing P&L
  • Senior leadership engagement
  • Highly developed communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to influence and persuade through personal credibility, integrity and professionalism.
  • Previous exposure to preparation of Management PPT presentation decks
  • Working knowledge of Anaplan, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management and/ or Essbase is a plus.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in inventory, cost accounting, manufacturing environment and cost center reporting is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, exposure to SOX controlled environments
