Business Unit Overview:

Aladdin is uniquely positioned to address the industry’s risk management, portfolio construction and financial technology demands. The Aladdin Wealth team leverages the same risk analytics used by institutional investors to equip wealth management clients with business & risk management, and portfolio construction, analytics & proposal generation capabilities. Aladdin Wealth is partnering with wealth managers to enhance their value proposition to their end clients, create rigor and scale in their investment process, and grow their businesses in a differentiated way. 

Position Description:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Japan Aladdin Wealth Team and assume a client facing position, focusing on our Japanese clients and prospects. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Aladdin Wealth products to clients in the region, executing Implementation Projects, as well as providing technical servicing to the client base. The candidate must have a solid understanding of the wealth management market in Japan and broad Asia Pacific, demonstrate expertise on technical and analytical areas. The role will evolve over time as the business develops and will be an exciting opportunity for someone interested in Financial Technology who has experience working with Wealth Management clients.

About this role:
The Aladdin Wealth Tech team partners with wealth management clients to help them oversee their enterprise risk, build better portfolios, and enhance their value proposition to clients. This is achieved by leveraging risk analytics - powered by Aladdin® - to equip wealth management clients with model construction capabilities, risk monitoring tools, and portfolio construction & analytics.

This is a recently founded team within Aladdin, therefore the role will evolve over time. However, this will be an exciting opportunity for someone interested in Technology who is looking to learn about the Wealth Management industry and gain experience working with clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a strong working relationship with clients to support implementation and adoption of tools

  • Gather, compile, model, validate, and analyze data from internal/external sources to provide meaningful insights

  • Assist in the day to day project management of client implementations and client on-going engagements, including updating project plans, documenting user requirements and managing action items

  • Function as the internal representative for clients by driving alignment between the Aladdin Wealth offering and client analytic needs

  • Be the primary point of contact for all Analytics and Data related client inquiries

  • Perform technical analysis and support the development of core Aladdin models and risk systems

  • Assist in the production and development of Aladdin tools and support client implementations

  • Participate in prospective client pitches and be the best representative for the Aladdin Wealth platform 

Skills & qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in financial industry or fin-tech

  • Strong problem solving skills and analytical thinking

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese

  • Strong project management and coordination skills; able to manage multiple priorities

  • Nice to have technical skills (e.g. Python, SQL, JavaScript) or having desire for learning new technology

  • Enjoy a fast-paced and high-intensity environment

  • Experience within the Wealth Management industry is a plus
