We have an exciting opportunity for a SAP Functional Analyst who can work remotely from one of the following states: AR, ME, OK, TX, FL, SC, MO, TN, LA, or KS.
POSITION SUMMARY:
SAP FICA Functional Analysts are responsible for the design, implementation, and support for Summit’s SAP ecosystem. Ideal candidates have a broad range of experience with SAP S/4HANA, ISU, SAP Cloud products, and third-party solutions with strong functional experience in SAP FICA. Additionally, Functional Analysts serve as mentors to other Analysts, lead projects and initiatives, and partner with the Senior Manager of SAP to assess technology needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for SAP FICA module – production support, system enhancements, and projects.
- Responsible for configuration of below areas in Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (plus others as assigned):
- Security Deposits
- Payments
- Dunning
- Write-offs/IVA
- Interest
- Installment Plans
- Refunds
- Clearing control
- Partner with System integrators and SAP to design a robust ERP solution.
- Analyze complex business processes, research products, recommend strategies, and obtain buy-in from business partners.
- Design, implement, and support Summit’s ERP ecosystem including the procurement and installation of new solutions, change management of existing solutions, and ensuring all ERP components are up-to-date and disaster ready.
- Conduct gap/business needs analysis, design, configuration, build, test, debug, convert, cutover activities and provide technical support Summit’s ERP systems.
- Migrate new acquisitions into Summit’s ERP footprint and ensure smooth transitions.
- Design multi-state, multi-organizational, and multi-functional systems that can scale quickly, provide portability, and ensure high availability standards.
- Manage relevant partner relationships and external consultants.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business, Finance or Accounting.
- Broad knowledge of SAP in the ISU area including but not limited to FI, CO, FICA, DM, EAM, and C4C.
- 5+ years experience with enterprise-level SAP ECC/S4HANA configuration and support.
- 3+ years experience in utilities experience.
- Experience or knowledge with SAP Private Cloud Edition (PCE) desired.
- Experience in Data migration and conversion a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Hands-on configuration experience in SAP ISU/FICA and integration experience to related SAP modules required.
- Broad knowledge of SAP ISU Meter to Cash processes, Business Master Data, Technical Master Data, Customer Interactions, Disconnections/Reconnections, Meter Reading, Billing, Bill Print, etc.
- Design and Implementation of Best Practice SAP ISU Solutions.
- Business process integration on ISU Modules.
- Business knowledge and technical hands-on expertise in the areas of Billing and invoicing, Device Management and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
- Friendly and effective communication skills are a must.
- Influencer resulting in a trusted advisor relationship between IT and the business.
- Robust presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects and priorities.
- Not afraid to fail, but always has a plan to remediate a failure.
- Attention to detail, especially with contracts, statement of work creation, and pricing negotiation.
- Capable of developing short and long-term plans for areas of responsibility. Owns both successes and failures with humility and integrity.
