How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Manage and oversee multiple capital projects from their inception through their completion simultaneously. 
  • Assist in developing capital project plans. 
  • Focus on building construction and infrastructure improvement projects. 
  • Experience in multiple trade management on large construction sites. 
  • Coordinate and develop a clear project scope and cost estimate in conjunction with the proper teams.  
  • Communicate effectively with Operations, Quality, Tech Services and other internal teams to ensure that project design and layout is satisfactory and timelines are met. 
  • Source, develop and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, vendors and suppliers. 
  • Create and read Process and Instrumentation Drawings for projects. 
  • Provide awareness of new processes and equipment in order to reduce cost and promote efficiencies within the operation. 
  • Provide assistance to the operations group when directed in the area of Repairs and Maintenance costs and preventative maintenance programs.  
  • Assist and provide technical support in the area of energy savings and effluent reduction within the plants. 
  • Understand federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the dairy industry, which covers equipment, structural requirements and environmental (e.g. building codes and structural requirements, 3A, OSHA, NFPA). 
  • Enforce the Company’s policies and programs with contractors and vendors. 
  • Travel will be expected up to 80% of the time. 
  • Perform other duties as required. 

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Preferred but not required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or related field.  Equivalent experience will be considered. 
  • A minimum of five (5) years engineering and project management experience. 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in utilities, boilers, refrigeration, ammonia, air compressors, steam and condensate, glycol, HVAC, plant water supply and distribution. 
  • Knowledge of general building construction, MCC, electrical wiring and distribution systems, including high voltage. 
  • Understanding of accounting principles (i.e. fixed assets, depreciation, capital expense, etc.). 
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project (desired). 
  • Strong customer orientation; ability to develop relationships and effectively influence at all levels internally (e.g. management teams) and externally (e.g. contractors). 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and analytical skills. 
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with broad-based business acumen and experience, with proven ability to identify opportunities and lead change initiatives. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

Salary Range: $102,170-$134,100

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training
