JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Platform Owner, B2B Ecommerce Systems will inspire, design, implement and support ecommerce and marketplace solutions within Driven Brands. You will be responsible for end-to-end ecommerce technologies including SAP Commerce Cloud, (Hybris), and Mirakl Marketplace. The role demands a strategic focus on technical frameworks that support growth and efficient operations, an enhanced user experience, and can be measured through business results. The ideal candidate will have the business acumen to complement their deep technology and governance experience. As a leader at Driven Brands you will be accountable for people, process and technology related delivery and decisions.
E-commerce Platform Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for SAP Commerce Cloud and Mirakl platforms, ensuring they align with overall business objectives and digital commerce goals.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance, ensuring robustness and scalability of e-commerce solutions.
- Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy utilizing appropriate software engineering processes.
Vendor and Technology Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor relationships related to the e-commerce tech stack, negotiating contracts, and managing service level agreements to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and select technology solutions that enhance the e-commerce architecture, focusing on long-term scalability and integration capabilities.
Operational Excellence and Platform Optimization:
- Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of the platforms, focusing on system performance metrics, uptime, and transactional integrity.
- Lead efforts in platform security, compliance audits, and adaptations to meet changing regulations and business requirements.
Innovation and Roadmap Development:
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements in e-commerce to integrate innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Plan and manage the roadmap for upgrading and scaling e-commerce platforms, including the integration of AI and ML technologies to enhance personalization and customer engagement.
Cross-functional Team Leadership:
- Collaborate with IT specialists, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure that platform developments support both technical and business perspectives.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Business Product Owners, ensuring that project scopes and deliverables meet technical standards and business expectations.
- Serves as an active mentor, and escalation point for development and support.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in managing SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) marketplace (Mirakl), and Google Analytics platforms, with a strong understanding of their architecture, standard functionalities, and customization capabilities.
- 7+ years experience in managing ecommerce solutions (non specific)
- 7+ years of deep knowledge of software development practices, including agile methodologies, DevOps, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) frameworks.
- 7+ years of strong background in system architecture design, particularly in e-commerce, with experience in API management, microservices, and headless commerce.
- 7+ years experience with applications that integrate with data solutions (DW, ML, AI)
- 7+ years experience with .Net, Java, C#, SQL, Python or R
- 3+ years experience presenting and engaging with business partners and stakeholders as a direct responsibility
- Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field; additional certifications in SAP Hybris, Project Management (PMP), or Agile methodologies are highly advantageous.
- 5+ years experience in B2B or B2C Retail or automotive
- Strong master data experience, particularly product & customer data
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing cross functional, multi shore teams and complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent business-writing skills, ability to synthesize complex concepts, and translate to business opportunity
- Proven, excellence in planning, priority setting, and project management skills to manage multiple projects and resources in a fast-paced environment
