DevSecOps Technical Lead

Overview/ Job Responsibilities:

Sev1Tech is seeking a DevSecOps Technical Lead to join our team. The DevSecOps Technical Lead will be responsible for managing Software Development operations, ensuring our organization operates efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, improving workflows, documenting requirements, and providing solutions to technical issues.

The role requires an understanding of Agile Software Development, DevSecOps best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of DevSecOps, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate should be flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with a passion for providing excellent customer service to both business and Government Stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

• Accountable for overseeing the DevSecOps CI/CD of the working product
• Working with the Development, Engineering, Architecture, and Testing teams to define the set of tools and processes for the continuous delivery pipeline
• Working to ensure that the tools are compliant with security requirements
• Working to streamline the Authority to Operate (ATO) process from a tools and technical process perspective
• Working to automate testing where possible
• Working to ensure that the DevSecOps CI/CD processes align with operational requirements
• Facilitate discussions with business stakeholders to understand the technical requirements for new projects
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to obtain user requirements and define functional specification

This is a hybrid remote position which allows telework. For SCIF access, performed on-site at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD

• MUST HAVE a DoD Secret; TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivilant degree
• Minimum 5 years of DevOps experience in Agile Software Development
• hands-on experience working with tools and technologies in, at a minimum, two (2) of the 
  following areas: software development, configuration control, testing, security, 
  automation, containerization, orchestration, cloud services, open-source technologies.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with public speaking and delivering presentations
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile

• Certification: DoD 8570 IAT Level II: Security+ or equivilant
