Tax Team Lead (Seasonal)

Remote | Full Time | $36/hour + Incentives/Bonus Potential | 401K + Match

JDA TSG's Tax Services Group is hiring Team Leads for the upcoming tax season. If you are looking for a remote seasonal role and have prior experience supervising remote groups, we would love to speak with you about joining our team!

On a Typical Day, You Will

  • Provide strong and effective leadership via video, phone, and chat, and inspire and motivate your team to achieve program goals.
  • Monitor and support the JDA TSG Tax Support Slack Channel, provide accurate tax information and resources, and respond timely to all requests for assistance.
  • Identify and address issues and challenges within the leadership channels, customer-facing issues, and customer escalations, ensuring resolution in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Conduct call monitoring, listening for opportunities to provide support.
  • Execute customer callbacks as requested.
  • Carefully document all customer interactions for assistance in coaching and escalations.

What You Bring To The Role

  • 1+ years experience in a remote, supervisory role, leading teams of 5 or more tax professionals.
  • 2+ years of professional experience preparing and filing individual (1040) returns using professional tax preparation software in a professional/retail setting.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to navigate computer systems and software including Professional tax software, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel), Slack, Timekeeping solutions, etc.
  • A dedicated workspace with a hard-wired Ethernet connection and personal computer for administrative responsibilities. (No Satellite or Wi-Fi providers.)

What We Provide

  • Flexibility! You can work morning through evening hours. We staff Mornings, Midday, and Evenings, 7 days per week.
  • Earn $36 per hour (W2), plus benefits including 401K with a match, perks, and other incentives.
  • Work from late November through the end of April 2025, averaging 25 - 40 hours a week. Additional/Overtime hours may be available.
  • Comprehensive training and support from our management team, who are committed to helping you excel in this role.

  • Equipment including laptop for the duration of employment. (You must have access to a personal computer as well.)
