Overview

Compensation: $77,000 - $95,000 based on experience and credentials

Location Type: Remote

Position Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsible for obtaining and reviewing due diligence documents, including SOC reports, financial statements, business continuity plans and other documents, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks and evaluating the financial health, operational stability and regulatory adherence of potential and existing vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Business Unit and new vendor relating to inherent risk assessments and vendor set up to ensure all information is completed and accurate to identify appropriate risk category and required due diligence documentation.
  • Collaborates with each Business Unit and vendors (both new and existing) on specific cadence based on risk level to collect, review and approve required due diligence documentation (i.e., SOC reports, Financials, BC/DR plans, etc).
  • Collaborate with Business Unit and other stakeholders in relation to ensuring all User Entity Controls are reviewed and mitigation identified.
  • Collaborate with Internal/External audit and support periodic due diligence and audit reports.
  • Collaborate and report to Director Vendor Management regarding onboarding performance on a specified cadence.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting area of expertise. Attends educational events that will increase professional knowledge and be otherwise beneficial to the Credit Union. Completes annual BSA/AML Compliance Training and understands employee’s role in maintaining an effective BSA/AML compliance program, and completes FACT Act Red Flag training.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field. (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.)
  • Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM) or similar designation. Can obtain within one year of obtaining position.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly a credit union or banking environment.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in due diligence, financial analysist, risk management, auditing or related fields
  • Proficiency in interpreting and assessing SOC Reports, with a thorough understanding of controls and compliance.
  • Strong skills in analyzing financial statements, understanding key financial metrics, and evaluating financial health.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing and mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Experience in reviewing and evaluating business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities, and meet deadlines. Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to analyze and resolve difficult problems and situations.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance necessary to successfully perform job responsibilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators. Able to influence others through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Works independently with general supervision.
