Job description

In the Sr. Software Engineer II role, you will contribute to the code & architecture of the Store, Menu Serving, and Menu Management technical products. You are responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of new features or changes to these applications. You will also engage with front- and back-end development teams as well as internal brands to plan and design new capabilities for menu management.

Responsibilities Include

Developing the following:


  • Scalable interactive ecommerce applications
  • Node.js and Golang based GraphQL web services.
  • Write comprehensive unit tests
  • Architect, design, optimize, and refactor code to deliver new features and maximize performance
  • Contribute to requirement definition and grooming of new functionality
  • Contribute to timely code review of submitted changes by the team
  • Participate in daily & weekly ceremonies to ensure work items are clearly defined and that any blockers are addressed
  • Participate in a rotating on-call for service outages outside of business hours


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or information systems
  • 8 years software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with the following:
  • GraphQL and REST APIs
  • NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL
  • Service containerization (Docker)


Additional Preferred Skills


  • Golang
  • Distributed workflow management and/or durable execution systems (Temporal, Cadence, etc.)
  • Experience with modern front-end development (React, Angular, Vue, iOS, or Android)


Salary Range: $­­124,100 to $171,050 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
