Element has an exciting opportunity for an Migration Engineer to join our Document Solutions team!

 

General job duties include:

  • Responsible for using ETL to migrate various document management platforms, including Open Text Hummingbird/eDOCS, iManage, Worlddox and other DMS applications to NetDocuments.
  • Work as a member of a collaborative team responsible for the definition and configuration of the document management system (DMS) and standards, engineering methodologies, and best practices.
  • Maintains expertise and provides insight into specific technologies and/or applications, prepares requirements and application design according to established guidelines.
  • Collaborates with peers to create, administer, and optimize the document management system.
  • Works effectively on cross-functional teams and under the direction of a Project Manager who provides accurate time and cost estimates on assigned work.
  • Manages multiple competing priorities and assignments as required in a dynamic environment, meeting critical deadlines on time and budget.
  • Present a professional and positive attitude.
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Ensure Element’s core values are promoted and adhered to during all aspects of client interactions.
  • Improve personal and professional technical knowledge to understand and guide client needs.

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience of migrating to and from different document management systems – such as eDocs, iManage, Netdocs, Worldox, etc.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write and optimize queries and procedures.
  • Experience with Rest API development – via PowerShell, C# is a plus.
  • Software integration experience with products like Elite, Aderant, etc.
  • Proven technical ability.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to understand problems and explain solutions.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for change and challenge assumptions regarding current environment and practices, ensuring that the Client is aware of and has considered alternatives and understands associated benefits and risks
  • Conceptual knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure technologies
  • Working knowledge of the varying nature of software projects and capable of working effectively on small, medium, and large projects, spanning both internal development and product selection/acquisition
  • Forward-looking, innovative mindset, with a desire to continuously improve solutions and adopt emerging technologies
  • Strong deductive reasoning and rapid problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Good business acumen
  • Strong desire and willingness to stay current with certifications
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and professional environment
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and assignments
  • Proven track record of meeting critical deadlines on time and on budget
  • Previous experience maintaining billable hours and working within certain guidelines
