Job Description

Purpose of the Team: The team's primary goal is to support the implementation of the Responsible AI program across the company. This involves governance enablement, program execution, connecting with divisions, community building, and working with stakeholders to institutionalize the program. Additionally, the team collaborates with a public policy team that engages external stakeholders and regulators, an internal policy team for internal policy development, and a sensitive uses team for specific product needs

Key projects: This role will contribute to the governance enablement and public policy components for this team.

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of -

50% Governance Enablement and working with the one Responsible AI tool team: This involves managing policy requirements, stakeholder management, and ensuring requirements align with architecture and policy timelines.

50% Public Policy: supporting the public policy team in understanding and applying regulations and policies

Candidate Requirements

Years of Experience Required: 5-8 overall years of experience in the field.

Degrees or certifications required: N/A

Lack of experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates who have only worked on a single project may not be suitable

Inability to work at scale on various programs and projects, and to think beyond individual projects to see how they interrelate

Candidates who express a strong interest in AI but cannot articulate what they bring to the table beyond a general interest

Ability to deal with ambiguity: Essential for navigating the fast-paced and often uncertain environment of the project

Stakeholder management skills: Important for managing politics and balancing various interests within the project

Summary

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing work across stakeholders.

Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.

Analyze technology, resource needs and prioritization, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

Confer with management, production and stakeholders to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Organize and support communications on project status and plans to stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Manage timeline and milestone delivery, including identify and flagging at risk deliverables.

Skills

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage one's time.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

PMI or PMP certification preferred.
